Sacha Stejko photographs people in a way that feels disarmingly honest.

Born in Ukraine and raised in New Zealand, her work is shaped by an early immersion in theatre, shaping a strong instinct for timing, energy, and how to read a room. She builds trust quickly on set, then lets things unfold, avoiding the urge to over-direct or overwork a frame.

Her images move between worlds. At one end, quiet, intimate portraits that feel almost observational. At the other, high-energy commercial work charged with movement and tension. Across both, there’s a consistent thread, a focus on people, and the small, often overlooked moments that give them away.

Sacha has collaborated with brands including Adidas, Samsung, Bose and Fonterra, bringing the same level of care and attention whether she’s shooting a global campaign or a single frame
